As a school in the Diocese of San Jose, St. Clare School builds strong academic and spiritual foundations that serve our children now and in the future.
Our school system is a resource-rich approach to Catholic education. We are committed to redefining student engagement through robust technology and data-driven instruction, the system is transforming Catholic education.
In collaboration with the National Catholic Educational Association (NCEA), the largest, private professional education association in the world, we support ongoing faith formation and the teaching mission of the Catholic Church.
We have been lucky to be part of the St. Clare School family for 17 years! As Noah graduates this year and our family looks back at our time at St. Clare School, we are filled with gratitude for the staff, students, and families we have been blessed to encounter.
Back when we were looking for a school for our oldest child, we visited all the local Catholic schools. As educators - raised in families full of educators - we paid special attention to the community of staff and faculty. It does start with them. Their spirit (and the Spirit) were strong at St. Clare. We also saw it as a place where we hoped our God-given gifts could make a difference in the community. What we didn’t anticipate is how the community would make such a difference for us. The friends we have made are fun, friendly, amazing, hard-working, faith-filled parents who are supportive of each other.
Our children thrived academically and socially, both at St. Clare and later, in high school and college. They were prepared. They were ready for bigger challenges each year at St. Clare and also when they graduated. Each teacher embraced and challenged our children to be better than they were the day before. Through our difficult times, the St. Clare community embraced our family and lifted us up. Through our good times, they rejoiced with us. What more could you ask from a Catholic community—but to walk with you as you travel the way of the Cross with Christ! (Of course, we also have great parties, too!)
With the energetic Mrs. Mantecon, we see great things in the future for St. Clare School. We know that the blessings of God will continue to guide and inspire St. Clare, its staff, students, and families. Go Wildcats!

We've been so pleased with our decision to have our children attend St. Clare School. When our oldest child was starting Kindergarten, we felt an immediate sense of belonging at the school. Over the years, we have found St. Clare to be an exemplary model for inclusiveness, always fostering the benefits of diversity for our children and community.
We continue to enjoy an environment where families all know each other, have fun together, and are focused on continuously improving "our" school. The administration makes significant efforts to get to know each of their students, as well as their parents, encouraging involvement in the community and in their children's education.
St. Clare provides strong academics, with a progressive approach to integrating new teaching and learning methods into the academic curriculum. Consistent with its Catholic/Christian identity, St. Clare also maintains a strong focus on nurturing the whole person - guiding and encouraging our children to be good people, to always be kind and respectful to others, and reminding parents to do the same. With one child in middle school, two in elementary school, and our youngest just starting out in Transitional Kindergarten, we are confident St. Clare will provide our children with a strong foundation for both academic and socio-emotional success.

We can say without any hesitation that choosing St. Clare School has been the best decision we could ever have made for our children’s education.
In St. Clare School we found the curriculum and Catholic values we were seeking. St. Clare School is truly committed and cares about the success of their students by providing an excellent academic preparation in a Catholic environment.
St. Clare School and St. Clare Parish are an outstanding welcoming diverse community where we have made lifelong friendships.”

When education is more than just 1-2-3 or A-B-C. When you are looking for the “whole person” education. When you want to look at your children and see intelligent and caring good citizens smiling back at you … then what you are seeking for them is a good Catholic education.
St. Clare School is a hidden gem among the wonderful schools within the SJ Diocese Catholic Schools System. Academically, the school have strong stats, but it is also one of the most diverse schools around. There is cultural, social economics, and even religious diversity. Being able to work with and socialize among people of all backgrounds and believes is key to doing well in our current Silicon Valley.
St. Clare School incorporates technology and new teaching methodologies into everyday learning. This marriage of technology and learning is another critical key factor to success in today’s world. When it comes to private high schools, nearly all of St. Clare graduates get into their first or second or both of choices.
They not only get in but continues to do well. This has been the case with my daughter, who graduated from St. Clare School and is now at Notre Dame High School in San Jose. I can go on and on but do your own research and be sure to include your student in the evaluation process. I am sure at the end of your journey, St. Clare School will be on top of your list as it was for us.

Our daughter Olivia has been a student at St. Clare’s since Kindergarten. From the very beginning, we’ve always felt a great sense of belonging and community.
Classes are small and the teachers and staff are able to give the necessary personal attention to each child.
St. Clare emphasizes the importance of faith and God in everyday living, and focuses on values such as courage, service, kindness, and compassion. My daughter has made wonderful friends and memories here.

Two of the main reasons my husband and I chose St. Clare’s Elementary School is the location and the celebration of diversity.
St. Clare’s Elementary School is located across the street from Santa Clara University. My husband and I wanted the extra influence that education should not stop at high school and should continue through college. We wanted our two children to be exposed to a university as early as possible and that it is a natural progression in their education.
St. Clare’s Elementary partners with Santa Clara University as much as possible. From having their annual Jog-A-Thon at Bellomy Field, attending children’s plays at Louis B. Meyer Theatre, visiting the Santa Clara Mission and having sporting events at Leavey Center, St. Clare understands their unique location and takes full advantage of it.
St. Clare also knows the importance of celebrating and understanding other cultures. They have an annual multicultural dinner which allows people to share their culture and to experience foods from around the world. During the school year, they also celebrate el día de los muertos and lunar new year.
It is the unique location and the observance of different cultures in both the school and parish that led us to choose St. Clare.

We are very lucky to be part of St.Clare School. Even though education is the priority, there are other opportunities that other schools are missing which is the spiritual family value in this community. It is hard to find somewhere else nowadays and we want this as our tradition to continue to our girls to start from the beginning of life on the right track.
Whether it is education manner, spiritual family values, community service, kindness. a friendly diverse atmosphere etc. We have found it all at St. Clare. On top of that all of the parents and church community gets involved and contribute constructive information to the school which impacts the student for the rest of their life, and that’s priceless.

How can you put in words what you need to feel when dropping off your children?
Relief? Trust? Maybe its accomplishment?
As parents we can be consumed with the thoughts of “Are we doing this right?”
Each day, dropping off my boys at St. Clare, I feel confident that if nothing else, I know I got this right.
St. Clare encapsulates my goals of finding a community that fosters educational growth and a supportive network of caring teachers. I can tell you that my entire family has benefited from the positive ripple effect of this loving academic environment.
Not a day goes by that I don’t think of how blessed we have been for this opportunity.
